One of the highlights of the Conamara Sea Week festival is the small works exhibition in the Connemara National Park. Over 30 artists exhibit. The work is presented anonymously and sold at modest prices €80/€130.
This event is a great success thanks to the generosity of the artists whose work is sold well below market prices. It now means that hundreds of original artworks have good homes in our community.
This year the organisers have a little twist in store. Artists and the general public are asked to make a hat for the opening which takes place at 4.30pm Sunday 28th October in the Connemara National Park. Everyone who comes with handmade headgear will be given a ticket and they will be part of a draw for some excellent prizes.
